Plan de Paris

Quand ma femme habitait à Paris, elle a achété un petit livre rouge foncé dans laquelle on peut chercher n'importe quelle rue de la ville et voir où elle se trouve sur une carte de l'arrondissement. Selon la couverture, il s'appelle "Plan de paris par arrondissement et communes de banlieue," mais selon la première page c'est le "Guide indicateur des rues de Paris avec les stations du Métropolitain les plus proches, éditions A. Leconte." Il n'a pas de ISBN. J'ai du mal à savoir comment je dois l'inclure à LibraryThing. J'ai trouvé pas mal de possibilités sur Amazon.fr, mais mon exemplaire est l'édition 1998, ce qui ne se trouve pas.

I hope you can read English. There are lots of books without ISBN numbers, or else they can not be found on the book. I enter the book "manually" and don't worry about the ISBN.

Alternatively, your "plan" maight be regarded as a "serial", which means it is pulbished every year, or every 6 months, etc. Some books may have just an ISSN number, and no ISBN number. My old Michelin France Guide Rouge (prior to 1970) are difficult to catalog, and I use the Universite de Montreal catalog which mixes serials with books, to help me.

In the end, I just did a search for existing LT works called Guide indicateur des rues de Paris, and listed my Plan as the most popular one. I didn't want to enter it manually because I'm not 100% clear on what the title is!
