I'm sure most of you know that the Borders in Modesto is closing, but if you haven't been in I just got the email that everything is 50% off or more, so if there's anything left I'd definitely go check it out soon, the store isn't going to be open much longer. . . I'm going to go tomorrow, maybe I'll see some of you there.

Hospice Hope Chest at the top of McHenry: hardcovers 1 dollar, paperback 25 cents (selected items priced as marked)...sales: .10 hardcover, 4 for one dollar paper or they do a two for $1.00 hardcover or paperback two for dollar....anyway just call them before you come. Recently they have been position books in the parking lot...found some goodies indeed!

I don't know if anyone would consider them "Super Cheap", but a new used bookstore has opened in Turlock: Lightly Used Books. They're on North Center Street which is just off of Golden State downtown Turlock. I went for the first time yesterday and they have a very good selection, especially fiction.

Hi, I didnt see where I can join this group or maybe it is a private group? If so please delete Im sorry! ( New to this site)

I find great books at Goodwill in Fresno and in Clovis that are in good condition. Borders already closed here ; (

Also I love the library system here that is unique from other counties that I have lived in. It lets you look up books online and have them delivered to your local branch.

The downtown Modesto library has used books for sale: $1.00 for hardcovers and 50 cents for paperback. Some are not even marked as library books. There is a really good selection of non-fiction and fiction. Right now 2 of Bob Woodward's books are on the shelves, in practically new condition for $1. What a deal. I have in the past found books signed by the author. Through the front doors, make a sharp right and they are on the wall just past the videos.
