Today I've decided to start discussing the role of friendship between creative people and the way it helps and supports those involved.

Let me start with my own experience with creative friends.

One such friend of mine name Glenn is a set designer/playwright/filmmaker, and I often help him with creative projects, such as the House Banner for my School House. I am considering writing a play with him soon.

Please discuss your friendships with creative people, and hopefully you'll make some new friends here...

I have friends who write, we help each other in lots of ways actually.
Listening to each other moan about not being able to write *anything*, bouncing ideas at each other in the vein of "Is this good or am I just insane?"

(of course sometimes the answer is: you *are* insane but it's a good idea *laughs*)

Edit: having said that I also have had some friends who believe themselves to be creative people who do nothing at all to help my creativity.

Oddly enough, my fellow creative friends don't like what I write when it comes to my book but they like the humor stuff that I do just for the hell of it on my blogs. The main supporters of my book tend not to consider themselves to be "serious" creators.
