Brentwood CityRead The Brentwood Library is hosting the fifth annual Brentwood CityRead starting on Monday, September 17 and running through Saturday, October 27. “Brentwoodians” are invited to read Gail Tsukiyama’s The Samurai's Garden. Check out your copy of this title using the honor system – a library card is not required. When you are finished with the book, pass it on to a friend or return it to the Brentwood Library. Besides the library, various establishments in the area will also have copies available to read and pass on. These establishments include: ·

The Brentwood Library will host a free author program: "Tapestry of Voices: A Talk and Reading by Gail Tsukiyama" to celebrate the end of the City Read program. Come hear the book read by the author herself on Saturday, November 3rd at 2 p.m. in the Brentwood Community Center (across the courtyard from the Library).
