For those of us who love some good snail mail, writing by hand, and wrapping presents.

There is some seriously neat stuff all through this store, but the notecards and postcards are just gonna kill me: The New York Academy of Medicine Library.

dammit, lisapeet. You are evil. I'm supposed to be shopping for my nephews, not myself.

Ditto! Library Bookshelf t-shirt. How can I resist?

Oohhhh Kat. There are some Christmas presents there. Thanks!

I need a really cool kitchen towel for a gift exchange. I was looking for something like the prints on the mugs but they don't have textiles.

But the tiles are beautiful!

I love the Arts & Crafts style. My other go to letterpress company is Saturn Press:

They are really hard to find in shops, though.

Printing is what we do. You send the text and a check, and go home and pray. We do not know what will happen until we are at the press. The design of your poster is determined in real time. Sometimes we produce beautiful posters and at other times we produce BEAUTIFUL posters.

Oh those are nice. I know it's a little trendy but I really like that whole distressed/letterpressed look.

Although I'm not big on the whole Christmas thing, I may have to get generous just to have an excuse to buy some Krampus gift wrap:

Uh-oh. WPA poster stamps

Good thing I bought letter-writing stationery.

I'd better step up my letter writing -- I've been buying a sheet of every new stamp I like, and these are next.

Well, that's just cool, DG.

I sent a link to Bruce suggesting it would be a good bday present, but what would be even cooler is a customizable chart with books I think are essential reads (or ones I want to read going forward). There were a number on that chart that I have no desire to read.

I cannot possibly in good conscience buy myself any more stationery or paper goods, but come holiday time I think I'm going to do a lot of shopping at the French Paper Company. Their prices are ridiculously decent. (I found it because I was looking for a for-sale link for this book of David Plunkett theater posters, because I obviously don't follow my own advice cf above...no dice on the book, though.)
