Is Erika a loose cannon?

I think she is still being haunted by what happened to her husband, Mark, and maybe should seek some professional help. Possibly she came back to work too early.

>2 EadieB: I agree, Erika should have been eased back into the job.

She's going to need to find some allies within her own group. She can't lead with her current attitude.

I don't think she's a loose cannon. I agree with >2 EadieB:. She's not quite ready for the job she got tossed into.
>4 Olivermagnus: I think she may already be lining up some allies. Those two officers she took with her to the parents seem like good sorts and already showed they'll have her back. Both seem ready and willing to work with her.

She is acting like a loose cannon at the moment but surely this has to settle down.

I have to agree with all of you. Too early to come back and be given so much responsibility... plus she has Sparks to deal with on her first hour on the job. Seems almost like they were throwing her under the bus in case the family made waves they would have someone to blame.

Not a loose cannon, just chasing her own tail trying to get into the swing of things. She is able to rein herself in at points. I agree that she has chosen her allies already. They seem to remind her of her responsibilities when needed.

>7 Carol420: Hmm. Good point about the blame game.

I don't think loose cannon is necessarily correct. She may be a bit overwhelmed by being thrown into a tough high profile case immediately but she's shown that she knows what she's doing (investigation wise). I think she's still emotionally raw and therefore more reactive than she might be normally

>8 jguidry: I think their expectations were a bit off...she had just gotten in town and still had her luggage with her, plus they kept her waiting.
