Why did you think it was significant when Linda asked if she had a cat, replied 'not just now'?

I thought it sounded like she had just killed her cat.

I thought that for being such a huge cat lover it was very strange that she didn't have a cat. I knew it was some sort of clue that would break the case.

I thought the cat was dead but I couldn't imagine Linda killing it. It had to be a clue especially when Erika wanted to go back and look at Linda's room.

I just thought this answer was part of Linda's loopiness.

I also saw it as a clue, but could not suss out the answer. I didn't think she'd kill her own cat since she was a cat lover, but I got the impression her cat was recently dead/killed.

I thought it was important. even her cat had recently died, she would have gotten another one soon after since she was such a cat lover. The fact that she didn't seemed very strange.
