Hot off the press! Missing at Sea, the second book in the Anna Davies Mystery series is now available at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFKJTV4/

Three years on from Egypt, Anna Davies embarks on her first cruise with best friend Sandra. A few days into the holiday they are woken by three blasts from the ship’s foghorn, indicating that someone has fallen overboard. A woman is lost at sea; the ship turns around to search for her, but she has disappeared into the night.

Was it suicide? Did she lose her balance and fall - or was there foul play involved? Did her husband push her? Would anyone be able to prove whether this was murder or an unfortunate accident?

What a perfect place to stage a murder!

Reviews for Missing at Sea

**** A perfect, relaxing, book for the beach, but sit well away from the sea!
By Sarah Stuart on March 14, 2017
Format: Kindle Edition
Anna is at a loose end. Off men since her experiences in Missing in Egypt, she finds herself out of a job and wide open to her friend Sandra’s suggestion of a cruise: a few days to see if she likes it. Sandra teases her into a cruise from their home in Sydney, Australia, to London. Cruising enthusiasts, like me, will recognise the enormous meals, the daily routine, and very likely many of the ports. Anyone who has never taken a cruise will have before they finish reading this book.

“But it’s a MYSTERY… a THRILLER… not a romantic travelogue!”

True, but Rita Lee Chapman doesn’t want you to miss a minute of this wonderful holiday: she does want you to miss the red herrings more prolific than the sharks in the sea, one of which may have eaten… Never mind, read Missing at Sea for yourself.

This book is part mystery story, part romance, and part amazing travel adventure. The description of the experience of the cruise is so wonderful I felt as though I was there, the characters are believable, and their relationships with one another are realistic and develop well throughout the story. As for the mystery itself: it was done so well that I never figured out all of the details before they were revealed at the end, and yet the clues were all there so that it made sense for things to have happened the way they did. All in all, this was a really great read, though one some may find difficult to read if they're sensative to certain subjects
