What are you hoping for from this Cotton Malone book?

2EadieB
Bearbeitet: Sept. 7, 2017, 6:12 pm

I'm hoping for another action-packed book and an exciting adventure.

Wondering how the dynamics of the team will change without Henrik

Bearbeitet: Sept. 7, 2017, 6:46 pm

>3 bhabeck: Will certainly be interested to see what happens given this. I'm hoping they pick up to the standard of the earlier books in the series.
I also want a good history element within it.
Is it too much to hope Stephanie Nelle will be killed off in this one? 😂

Sept. 7, 2017, 7:09 pm

>4 Andrew-theQM: Stephanie has started to grow on me...something I definitely didn't think I'd say after book 1...lol. I would like to see Pam back at some point - she and Cotton were interesting together

6Andrew-theQM
Sept. 7, 2017, 7:13 pm

>5 bhabeck: That would be fun.

I'm also curious to see what direction this takes with Henrik gone.
I'm hopeful for an exciting adventure featuring Malone and Casseopeia. I'd like to see Malone's son again and agree it would be good to have Pam make an appearance.
Stephanie has not grown on me. I wouldn't mind if she stayed behind her desk--well in the background.

I hope I like this book more than I did the first time I read it...which was years ago.

Sorry to be late with Saturday's questions, was in the middle of a forest and their internet service was down. Just got back to land of the living.

Sept. 10, 2017, 12:46 pm

>18 EadieB: Actually we weren't far from Sherwood Forest as it happens! We booked into one of our local campsites to recover from the first week at school. Unfortunately if no phone line, people can't get hold of you! 😂First week always intensely busy!

Sept. 10, 2017, 6:23 pm

>29 EadieB: Sounds good to me, I can travel round the UK in my Motorhome, making it my own personal mobile library and reading, reading, reading!

31EadieB
Sept. 10, 2017, 7:22 pm

>30 Andrew-theQM: Sounds like fun to me! I like that idea of a mobile library. You can visit charity shops and drop off the books you read and pick up new ones.

32Andrew-theQM
Sept. 10, 2017, 7:27 pm

>31 EadieB: That would be the plan, as well as finding great coastal locations to read.

FYI: I emailed Loranne re: all the spam threads. Hopefully all of them (and the user) will be removed from LT. Wasn't sure how else to report these.

38Andrew-theQM
Sept. 11, 2017, 1:42 pm

>37 bluebird_: Thanks, the SPAM does seem to be becoming a big problem. Usually they are all deleted fairly quickly but it doesn't hurt to alert her.

39Carol420

I flagged them until I was going cross-eyed. Hopefully someone will notice.

40Andrew-theQM
Sept. 11, 2017, 2:20 pm

>39 Carol420: I'm sure they'll be deleted eventually, but if more than this group is targeted then it may take a while. I think this is the worst it's ever been.

41Carol420
Sept. 11, 2017, 2:34 pm

>40 Andrew-theQM: None of the other groups that I belong to are effected...so far. It's just annoying. I think somehow it's on a system that just allows it to keep repeating itself.

>41 Carol420: All computerised I would imagine.

43EadieB
Sept. 11, 2017, 4:15 pm

>36 Andrew-theQM: Can't wait for your retirement. I want to put Scarborough Castle on our list to visit along with the Peak District. They definitely need books at their hotel for people visiting there.

44Andrew-theQM
Sept. 11, 2017, 5:39 pm

>43 EadieB: You can't! Lovely view of the sea from Scarborough Castle, but a bit of a steep hill to get to the top - know it well! Although have to admit some better Castle examples around other than Scarborough Castle.

45EadieB
Sept. 11, 2017, 5:41 pm

>44 Andrew-theQM: OK you can be the driver and take us to all the nice places.

46Andrew-theQM
Sept. 11, 2017, 5:50 pm

>43 EadieB: Some others to consider off the top of my head : Alnwick Castle, Conwy Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Bodiam Castle, Caernarfon Castle, Carlisle Castle, Beaumaris Castle, Edinburgh Castle, Dover Castle, Warwick Castle, Tower of London, Stirling Castle, Cardiff Castle, Leeds Castle, Arundel Castle ...this calls for some good research.

Should keep us busy!

I love castles!

49EadieB
Sept. 11, 2017, 7:21 pm

>48 Sergeirocks: You can come too when Andrew retires. Then we can hold our group reads in our large mobile library while we visit the castles and any other tours that Andrew (the driver) will put together.

50Carol420
Bearbeitet: Sept. 12, 2017, 7:16 am

>48 Sergeirocks: I love castles too. The older the better. Ask my poor hubby how many he has visited in Ireland & Scotland and waited...and waited...and waited..and waited....

>49 EadieB: We'll have to hire a driver so Andrew can read and lead the discussions. Maybe if he presents this opportunity to his wife she will be more receptive to having her motor home taken over.
