Were you surprised to find Stitts tied up?

not really since he wasn't getting back to Chase though I think it said in the book that it'd been a week -- seems like that would have been a bit of a stretch to believe. I had been expecting to find him dead

I was surprised and I also could not believe that he was tied up for a week and did not die.

I thought... like Brenda and Lynda, that he would be dead. I knew that something was wrong since I don't believe he would have just ignored Chase's calls.

Yes, because I wasn't necessarily expecting Stitts to be at home.
