Did they make the right decision by leaving the shop out the front rather than the back?
2Olivermagnus
I think it was the right decision. They were probably going to be confronted either way.

The men were probably expecting them to go out the back so going out the front would have thrown them off momentarily. All Cotton needs is a moment.

Seemed logical that they were more at risk going out the back way where there were no witnesses, whereas the front limited to what they could do with all those witnesses.

I still think this was a bit of a risk - Malone could only guess that they wouldn't want to cause a scene. We've known times in these books when the bad guys have used their guns in the streets, regardless of bystanders.

I personally do not think touting for converts should be allowed, (whatever the denomination, and wherever or however they do it). If anyone requires a religion they know where to go looking for it of their own accord.

>8 Sergeirocks: I agree, it is like preying on the weak and vulnerable. When I was at college they used to have peookeon the high street asking people to come and do a questionnaire and have a drink. Never got me (not a hope!) but did get some people and turned out it was Scientologists. Turned out it was known about by the powers that be but no one did anything about it!
