I'm interested in why you chose Ontario for the Steve Burrows mysteries. I don't actually recall anything taking place in Ontario except for perhaps some brief flashbacks of his youth with his broth by Domenic. I could be forgetting something so please elucidate.

A fitting entry as author is from ON, MC is from ON which is recognized and referenced in each addition to the series with ON bird watching areas regularly mentioned and as end of book 5 has him returning to ON it seems relevant..

>3 FHC: Don't get me wrong. I wasn't criticizing. We all have different ways of categorizing books. I love the Birder Murder series and I actually got to meet Steve Burrows a few years ago so I knew they were written by a Canadian. I call any book written by a Canadian a Canadian book but when I am deciding whether it is set in Canada and which province I like to see a substantial connection.
