lindapanzo's 2020 ROOTS

I'm back for another year and, in 2020, I'd like to focus more on reading actual print books off my shelves, along with books I'm obligated to read, such as Net Galley books. Reading and removing those and seeing the piles of books go down is satisfying in a way that clearing off my Kindle is not.

At the end of the first quarter, I'm one book ahead of my pace!!

Overall, though, my reading is way, way down so far this year.

I find I work longer hours at my kitchen table with my work laptop than I do when I go to work, even with a half hour commute each way!! Plus all that extra TV/online time to keep up to date on the virus news.

Last night, I shut off the TV and just read. Finally.

Pretty sad that my own thread is dormant. I've been trying to hang in there on the ROOT challenge. I'm down maybe a book or two behind where I ought to be for the year.

ETA: A pleasant surprise. I'm exactly on target, 36 out of 48 for the year.

I've been on track for my ROOT goal all year but, after last month, I fell one ROOT behind. So far this month, I've read two ROOTS with three more needed to reach my goal.

My reading is way, way down this year.

Two more books to finish my ROOTS goal for the year and a half month left to do it.

Go, go, go!
