Any thoughts on Lacey going back into uniform?

I guess she has a thing for investigating but I thought she wanted to just be by herself and live on the houseboat.

I think it's a much lower pressure job and she seems happier at the start of the book. But she's going to get dragged back in, no doubt.

I think she needed something with less stress after those 3 high pressure cases so close together.

I believe everyone has said it. Less pressure...but I don't think she'll be gone from Metro for very long. She likes investigating and...at least in the U.S,...she's have more opportunity out of uniform than in it. Uniform here hands out parking and speeding tickets and tells people to "move on" when they're trying to watch the non-uniforms investigate.

I'm not sure how long she'll last there...
