Do you think the killer wanted Lacey to discover the body? Why?

Yes because she found it on her way back to the boat while swimming in the river and it wasn't seen on the way out away from the boat. The cord was recently cut which means the body was moved and placed where Lacey would find it.

Someone wanted Lacey to find it.......maybe the killer or maybe someone who wants the killer caught.

Looks like the killer may be fixating on Lacey. Maybe he saw her swimming and thought they had a connection

Yes...the killer left it for Lacey to find. A "gift"....though a gruesome one.
