Why do you think Someone is leaving Lacey boats?

I believe it's to show her that they can get to her anytime they wish. Why it's boats and not cars or planes etc...I have no idea. Maybe the different colors of the boats are supposed to be a clue for her????

I think there must be something specifically related to the boats but I don't know what it could be. Maybe it's a clue that the women are being transported up the river in boats of that color.

I think it's a message of some sort but all I can think of is that she works for the Marine Police Unit that is in charge of policing the boats.

I just thought they were presents

Perhaps it's a clue: 'Look, Lacey, boats are important to me.'
