Hello,
I'm looking to buy the LEC Turn of the Screw but the slipcases I've seen tend to look very worn. Is this book known to have an easily damaged slipcase?
I was also wondering if anyone could share a photo of the case in good condition, just out of curiosity to see what it should look like under ideal circumstances:)
Thanks for any help~

The mottled gold covering on the slipcase does tend to be somewhat fragile--I suspect it is a thin foil or paper not unlike the infamous copper foil used to cover the Moll Flanders slipcase. The slipcase construction itself seems not the highest quality. I will post some pictures of my copy, which is in about as good a condition as I have seen (I bought it because the glassine was still intact and the book apparently unread).

Excellent, thanks for the quick response. That is indeed a very nice looking copy and the first I've seen with the glassine!
