A Few ER Titles from July & August Will Be Delayed

Hi All: due to some technical difficulties on their end, Niv Books and BooxAI are experiencing a slight delay in sending out their books to winners. As a number of their giveaways were for print editions, and they do not have a way to contact winners directly, to communicate this information, they have reached out to me. They wanted to make sure members were aware of these delays, and that the books will be sent out as soon as possible. The delayed titles include:

Anax (print & digital editions, from the July and August batches)

Thinkers and Doubters (print & digital editions, from the July and August batches)

Running Together (print & digital editions, from the August batch)

I will post back here with more information, as soon as it is available! Thank you, as always, for participating in Early Reviewers!

I have just heard back from Niv Books / BooxAi, and have learned that they have sorted out the trouble on their end, and have begun sending out these books! If you won a print book, be assured that they have either mailed them out already, or will do so shortly. Digital editions should also be going out soon, so please check your inboxes (and spam folders!) if you won such an edition.

Hi Abigail - I'm in the UK, and have happily received an Early Reviewers Amazon link from Niv Publishing for the eBook of 'Anax'. However, the link only allows recipients in the United States to download it, despite the giveaway allowing reviewers from USA, UK, France, and Germany to request the book. I can't find any way of contacting the publisher online, as the link was sent via Amazon with no contact details for Niv ... If you're in touch with them, please could you pass this along to let them know? Thank you! :)

>3 Clementia: Oh dear. OK, I will reach out to Niv Books and bring this to their attention. Hopefully they can fix this, and send you a working link for the UK. I will reach out to you privately, Clementia, when and if I hear back from them.

Hi Abigail, trouble with Niv books for me, too...
I received an ER Amazon link from Niv Publishing for the eBook of 'Thinkers and Doubters'.
The link also only allows recipients in the United States to download it, despite the giveaway allowing reviewers from Germany (where I'm from) to request the book as well.

Additionally, what is even more serious for me, they said they'd provide a format apart from Kindle.
As I boycott Amazon for various ethic issues, I am NOT going to visit Amazon for any reason.
If Niv Books only send a Kindle version obtainable via Amazon, they are practically forcing me to mark this book as unreceived, which I'd hate to... (I don"t care whether they provide it as PDF, epub or other formats, but I am not downloading the book via Amazon link!)
Had I known this in advance, I'd never have requested 'Thinkers and Doubters'...

Could you please reach out to them, in this matter, too? Thank you so much!

I have heard back from the publisher, and they told me that they have sent new links to the two of you, Clementia and Yuki-Onna. These new links should work for you.

If anyone else has experienced this problem, please let me know, and I will contact the publisher on your behalf as well.

I wanted to pass on that my print copy of Anax arrived some time November 30th through today (I was out of town, someone was getting my mail for me). It was shipped from Amazon (with a gift receipt dated November 22nd), so I think it was a standard retail copy, not an ARC like the Early Reviewers books I'd won in the past.

More interestingly, it has a page with a note I've never seen before. The last page inside the back cover has a bar code and the statement "Made in the USA / Columbia, SC / 26 November 2021"

>9 The_Froo: Standard Print on Demand Notation with some printers. A lot of books have that these days. Some will do batches, some will literally print the copy when it is ordered/sold.

>9 The_Froo: I'm glad that it arrived—thanks for letting us know. Hopefully all of the winners have received (or soon will receive) their copies of these three titles.
