Any thoughts on the link to Romans having been on Australia? Did this provide confirmatory proof about the jellyfish and the nut oil?

It seemed to. That whole idea was interesting - that Romans made their way to Australia in 51BC? Wow.

In actuality there is no credible evidence Romans were in Australia, even though some claims to the fact have been made. The narrative in the story of the Roman saving his wife's life confirms the nut oil theory.

That’s one interesting theory, obviously no proof this ever happened although the story of Crassus and the Lost Legion that were defeated by the Parthians did happen. If anyone is interested and wants to find out more then I strongly recommend The Forgotten Legion trilogy by Ben Kane which is based on this.

I loved these books, but a spoiler here they don’t take in Australia!

I love the idea. I think a lot more exploration occurred than we originally studied in school.
