I'm halfway through A Trip to the Stars by Nicholas Christopher, and I think it definitely qualifies as Magical Realism. I'm really enjoying its twists and turns and astronomical references. Has anyone else here read it? What did you think?

I really love that book. It is definitely my favorite of the works I have read by that author.

I'm glad you mentioned this book. I had checked it out of the library a few years ago, as well as Veronica which was laso quite good. So, I've put them in my LT library tagged as "library book"s. Nicholas Christopher is definitely a writer of magical realism. The Bestiary is his newest book.

I finished it yesterday, and it was a lovely, satisfying read. I loved the crossings between the parallel stories, the many secondary "characters" and the circular nature of the plot. I want to reread it now and look up all the star-related names. I'll have to check out his other books now, too.

I'm awfully late to this party, but I enjoyed this book too. There were a couple of annoyances along the way, but in general, a good read.
