You may have noticed a new group, called Good Show Sir. At the moment it has one member: me. I've been hanging out on the website Good Show Sir for years, and have mentioned it here from time to time. I created the LT group to answer a perceived need for a place for the GSS habitués to hang out when the GSS site has technical issues, which it does from time to time. I've suggested that the GSS people should join LT and in particular the Green Dragon, and I understand that at least one has already done so (hi, Hammy!). The GSS crowd are a friendly bunch and I think they will fit right in in the GD.

A hearty welcome to any of your friends that end up here!
PS I can't see the group when I search for it by name. Did you make it private?

>3 clamairy: I certainly didn’t intend to and I can’t see that it is. I haven’t received any notifications of new members either, even though I see that sakerfalcon and ScoLgo have joined.

Hello. I am from the Good Show Sir group. I previously asked how to become a member of a group, but then I figured it out, so I'm editing this post in order to bore people with useless details.

>6 haydninvienna: Searching didn't work for me either. I found your new group by scrolling through the 'Talk' listings.

Looking forward to your useless details. Useless details can be very useful.
Welcome to the pub.

I too am here from the not-so-hallowed halls of GSS. Thanks to haydninvienna for setting it up. It was a very hard almost 2 months without our camaraderie.
For our best example of sustained punnery, please search GSS for "Sarnath". 10 years and nearly 250 comments of increasingly good/bad groaners. Plus a restaurant review near the end.
I recommend hitting the "Random Terrible Cover" button in the right-hand column for just that.

Still doesn't show on searching, but it appears as it should in the list of "groups active this week".

>16 pgmcc: I count it as an achievement to have got GSSex-noob into the pub. Basically, I have got the two best places on the net talking to each other.

I may have found the reason why the Good Show Sir group didn't show up on a search: it had no group image. Now it has, and a search for "good show sir" returns 1 group by that name, as it should. Odd.

I have long been a lurker on GSS and appreciate the hilarious and good natured banter there. It is truly of the highest quality (unlike the cover art ...). Welcome to all of you who have joined LT!
>17 haydninvienna: Congratulations! Your lifetime achievement award is in the post!
