- "The Visitor Center and Bookstore are open weekdays from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. and weekends from 12:30 to 4 p.m. (excluding holidays). Arboretum trails and the Visitor Center parking lot are open year-round from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Other Arboretum parking lots are open from dawn to dusk.
The Arboretum is an extension of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is used by students and researchers focusing on ecological restoration.
