The Xanth books by Piers Anthony were one of the first SciFi/Fantasy series I ever read. I love puns so I have always enjoyed them. Upon re-reading them I can see that they have some weaknesses but overall they stand the test of time. They are a fun and fast read that keeps me amused without any deep thinking required. ( )

Another very satisfying Xanth novel. It's Dawn's turn to get hitched, and the story was a delightful, quick read. I especially enjoyed the brief appearance of some old (the oldest?) friends. While the story did little to set it apart from other books in the series, the author's note at the end, where he writes of his daughter's death was quite touching and sad. You're in my thoughts, Mr. Anthony. ( )

INot one of the best Xanth novels. Still worth the read but it did seem slow paced.Xanth novels are always good for a pick me up. It just seemed like Mr. Anthonys heart wasn't in this one. ( )
