Honestly, this was much better than I anticipated because I think I either got it for free or super cheap and sometimes those are unreadable. This was definitely readable and was a cute little cozy. I don't normally read cozies, but it was pretty good. ( )

A cute, fun mystery that was light and fun to read. Well written, decent plot, and characters with a humorous bent (although I wouldn't call it hilarious, it was amusing at times). Some interesting romantic tension and there's a hint that the main character will be getting some backbone. All in all, I enjoyed the book. ( )

This was a pretty good mystery. I liked that the main character, Lucy, owned an antique shop. I would have liked to learn more about various antiques in the book. The medicine man costume was a unique item that was at the center of the mystery.

I did not really like that Lucy was also working as a reporter on the side. I realize this gives her an excuse to investigate, but I did not like that aspect of the story at all. Her boss at the paper was a condescending jerk, and I am surprised she would want to work for him.

I also didn't really like her budding relationship with detective Blake. He was very rude to her, and seemed very abrupt in his dealing with her, treating her like a suspect half the time. And then coming up and kissing her, leaving her all weak kneed. Where did that come from? Lucy needs to find some better male friends. ( )
