Studying for the CPCE isn't the most fun task in the world, and I was really terrified about the career counseling section. I sought this book out, looking for a text that would provide the basics of career counseling. This was written in 2009, so fairly recently, and it is less than 200 pages: double bonus.

The first chapter is perhaps the most relevant to the CPCE: it takes the four main theorists of career counseling and explains who they were, what they did, and why it is still important today. PERFECT.

I decided to finish the book because it was a quick read and I had the time. After having read it, I HIGHLY recommend it for other counselors to be who feel less than satistfied with their training in career counseling. :) ( )
