Piper Johnson is tired of being alone during the holidays so this year she's decided to place an ad in the New York Times for a Christmas Eve Mistletoe Kiss. Alex Miller has been in love with his best friend for years and her latest stunt has him searching for a way to get her to see that he should be her Christmas Eve Mistletoe Kiss. Can Alex convince Piper to take a chance on them in time for the holidays or will Piper be too distracted searching for holiday love that she will miss the perfect Mistletoe Kiss? This was a cute Christmas story that was a very quick read and that hooked me from the beginning. I loved the characters of Piper and Alex and their interactions. You could feel their chemistry even if they didn't realize they both felt the same way about a hoped for romance. There were plenty of smiles and some chuckles from Piper's antics although she put herself in harm's way with her silly "looking for love" ad. I was glad there was a happily ever after which was doubtful for much of the story. My only regret was that it was only a novella. There was great promise to the storyline that I think it could have been easily turned into a novel and given more closure to the story at least for me. I have not read books by this author before and look forward to reading others. I will definitely add her to my to be read pile.
Favorite Quote: In truth, she compared all prospects to Alex, and no one measured up. Most days, she didn't mind being alone. She loved her Manhattan loft, and her career was a success. At twenty-seven, she still had her size five figure from college. Okay, on a bad day, size seven but overall life was good. Now she wanted a whirlwind Christmas romance, nothing permanent, not yet. With three weeks before Christmas, she didn't have time for conventional methods. (
