I like this book because it is the same words throughout the whole story: “faster, faster” so the illustrations basically tell the story. The pictures speak for themselves. She gets on her daddy’s back and yells faster, faster each time. He goes so fast that he “turns” into a dog, a horse, a cheetah, a bird, a dolphin, etc. At the end he gets tired and turns into a turtle, after she realizes he slows down she says “daddy?” And he goes back to his regular self in the next page. This story can enhance a child's imagintion. If one did not see the pictures, the book will tell a whole different story. Audience: pre K- 2nd grades This is a very interesting book for young children where the daughter is playing with her father and how he turns into various animals during the course of the play. The main focus is on the speed of the animal, hence the title 'Faster faster' and can be used in the classroom to discuss action verbs in animals, act them out, compare features and speeds of animals. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
A day at the park. A ride on Daddy's back. Run, Daddy! Faster! Faster! How fast can Daddy go? Faster than a dog? A horse? How about a cheetah? Must his feet even touch the ground? Leslie Patricelli reprises the duo from Higher! Higher! in another humorous riff on a favorite pastime - a laugh-out-loud-funny tale of few words about doting dads and high-energy kids whose imaginations know no bounds.
