Are you a novice or intermediate user of Web 2.0 tools that move you as a teacher librarian into the center of teaching and learning? If so, this is an excellent book to either get you started or to provide a plethora of new ideas for using the tools in the curriculum and in the library/learning commons. Crane covers blogs, wikis, social networking, Google tools, Skype, and video. But, instead of doing what other authors have done, she covers these tools in curricular areas such as science or social studies, or language arts. This is her strong point, since she will demonstrate, for example, how to use wikis in language arts to improve learning in that particular content area. She provides a glossary and several tool possibilities, leads you through the creation of work site, provides examples from a number of schools that have been successful, talks about how to determine impact on learning, and sends you to other resources. This, it is not the tool itself; it is the impact that the tool has on learning. Highly recommended for ideas, how tos, and practical learning boosts in the various content areas. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
