Sono lieta di poter affermare che Winter Pennington sta proprio migliorando: l'approfondimento psicologico dei suoi personaggi è stato davvero buono in Bloody Claws e la trama strutturata in modo più sapiente.

Il rapporto tra Kassadra e Lenorre va avanti, si consolida sempre di più e riserva anche delle sorprese... confesso che “l'intromissione” di Eris mi ha meravigliata. Non tanto per il modo, quanto per i gusti sessuali di Kassandra, che la Pennington ci aveva presentato come convenzionali. Vedi, vedi, le acque chete sono sempre le più pericolose!

Abbiamo anche diverse scenette con il detective Arthur Kingfisher, ex-collega di Kassadra – nonché grande spasso per il lettore. Leggere interagire Arthur e Kassandra è un vero spasso, ma non c'è solo questo: quando sarà il momento, Arthur si confermerà un ottimo amico.

Certo il personaggio che in Bloody Claws mi ha colpito di più è stata Rosalin. Lo spessore che raggiunge è spezzacuore, con il suo bisogno non solo di una donna al suo fianco, ma proprio di mostrare interesse verso qualcuno, di innamorarsi, di uscire dalla sua apatia sentimentale. Mi veniva davvero voglia di abbracciarla mentre leggevo...

Rupert è al momento disperso. Un vero peccato. Il suo testosterone mi è mancato e spero si decida presto a ricomparire nella vita di Kassandra (magari facendosi trovare a sorpresa nel suo appartamento, come solo lui sa fare). ( )

I got rather conflicting feelings about this one.

Story as usually starts great, but later on it almost ceases till the end, where something should-be-important but guess what it's not happens. What I'm trying to say is, the book has practically just the beginning, the end(kinda bad one), and almost nothing between (except for some bland filler) and this, more or less, plagues all of Winter Pennington's books.

Another thing I truly dislike is that main protagonist had become cheap slut again (is it really so hard to embrace self-control a bit, try to say no and stay true to herself?). And again, rest of author's books have the same problem so probably I should've seen it coming.

Overall I think author should stop putting so much sex into her work just for sake of sex and rather put more though into story, characters and other aspects that makes great book. ( )
