While working there she becomes friends with Owen, Hailey, Levi and Jarred. She eventually learns that they are not normal by any means of the actual definition. At first she's scared but then she starts to look at it from the curiosity angle. That's when things in her life change far more then anyone person can imagine. I enjoyed how the book had started out relaxed and normal and then it became something more. It slowly stepped into the paranormal. That was something in it's own. The transition was flawless. I also like how it wasn't written with all parties involved living the perfect happy ever after. There wasn't much I didn't like about this book. If I am being completely honest there isn't anything I can bring to mind that I didn't like. I enjoyed the entire book and I look forward to reading the next one. {reason for reading} - I received this book in return for an honest review. I like the story. There is a lot that feels disconnected. It's almost like we have to draw our own lines to connect each "scene" but it's not enough, yet, to deter me from reading more. So I can't wait to read the rest. I would like to have seen more written about what a Pteron is exactly and the scene with the cats was about. It seemed rushed and again not explained in full. FROM AMAZON: A summer in New Orleans is exactly what Allie needs before starting college. Accepting her dad’s invitation to work at his hotel offers an escape from her ex-boyfriend and the chance to spend the summer with her best friend. Meeting a guy is the last thing on her mind—until she sees Levi. Unable to resist the infuriating yet alluring Levi, Allie finds herself at the center of a supernatural society and forced to decide between following the path she has always trusted or saving a city that might just save her. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
