I've always been a fan of Brenda Novak. I read that she got the idea of this particular storyline from a newsbroadcast. While I do love book series that are based in small town settings, I certainly would not want this to happen to anyone.

I was hoping that the incident from 15 years ago would have ended up being slightly different from what Addy remembered. I loved Noah and Addy's getting to know each other.

Can't wait for the next book in the series!! Hopefully we will see Baxter get his own HEA (secondary romance) in one of the books to come.
If you love the small town settings, track down her Dundee, Idaho SuperRomances. I recently read them all again earlier this year. ( )

I'm really enjoying this series and I really liked this one. The relationship did happen in a very short time but I overlooked that. There was a lot of interesting stuff going on here and the hero was a really nice guy. I particularly liked how he stuck by the heroine even though he hadn't known her long. There was a line about how to find a wife.

You have to fall in love with someone and prove you won't ever stop loving them.

I always enjoy seeing that play out in a romance novel.

I've only got one more book to read in this series until I have to wait for the next one to be written :-( ( )

Addy returns to Whiskey Creek to help her grandmother with her restaurant, but it's a traumatic experience because she was gang-raped by Noah's now deceased brother Cody and his now grown HS friends who still live in town. She never told what really happened that night, and now the group is worrying that she'll talk & they'll go to jail or worse. And Noah had no idea that his brother wasn't the saint he's being lauded as. ( )

I have loved all the other books in this series but this one suffered from to many things. I dont think it should have taken over 350 pages for things to get brought out in the open on the two main plot items in this book. And even once they were out there was no satisfying conclusion in either. One has been a long standing arc through out the series between what were 2 secondary characters in the previous books. Others may like the how the relationship between Noah and Baxter came to a head but I was disappointed. I still love this series and am looking forward to the next book which is Ted and Sofia's. ( )
