When I first realized that this wasn't Serena's story I was very disappointed. However after reading this story I see the why of not publishing Serena's story just yet. I can see at least 12 more books in this series probably more depending on how the story arc goes. This is the story of one of the Sorceress Brigade. Astra Al'madere has lived within the Castle of the Sellane since she turned sixteen. She has been on her own since she was five years old. Her mother has been determined to break her link to the land of the Mystic Forest. Astra is a courageous and loving. She wants so much for someone to love her. When she realizes that the Delmari Twins are her consorts she thinks that she will finally find the love she has longed for. While that does happen there are problems that must be solved. There are plots within plots and it will make your head spin.

I think I fell in love with Torran and Rhydan Delmari. Anyone that would drain themselves to save a pair of helpless cubs deserve my admiration. These men are so compassionate and caring they make me want to love them as well. They have watched over Astra since she was a babe. They have waited to claim her so she would be ready for them. It is so sweet.

I hope that we get another one of these stories soon. I love this series and we have waited so long for this story. There is something very magical about the whole world and story. It reaches out and drags you in making you want to all that is happening and if there will be happy ending for these wonderful people. ( )

Got a copy of this via my library & thought I'd "try it out" before I went & purchased the whole series. Considering there was a 5 page basic introduction on top of an 8 page index of terms... it almost seemed like too much "work". ( )
