The story just moves along to a thoroughly believable ending. The writing is well developed and many of the characters are extremely likable The dangers that are posed by our current Supreme Court environment are exposed nicely in this well thought our story. A healthy dose of current themes, emotional turmoil, and political reality offered in “The Founders Plot” is enough to keep you interested from the beginning and builds to the conclusion. By appearance the story could be cut from the current political strife with sides taken and damage done all in the name of “getting things done”. I can't agree with the "thriller" tag on this. The story just plods along to an utterly predictable ending. The writing is simplistic and many of the characters are stereotypes. Federal court overreach, immigration, politicians' infidelity, and back room wheeling and dealing - and even a bit of gun control - are all crammed in to this short (254 pages) book. "The Founders' Plot" is a well written story about the attempt of a California Governor with the cooperation of the President of the USA to put into place stringent immigration policies. It has intrigue, is fast-moving and the author is talented in the way he develops his characters. This is a tender subject and it is handled well in this novel. The political systems of our country as well as the judicial systems are challenged in this book and it makes for a very interesting plot. If you like politics you will enjoy this book! The author's characterizations of Carlos, Marisol and other Mexicans is a bit stereotyped, however, author Frank Victoria portrays male friendships quite well. I suggest you pick up a copy and learn a bit more about the immigration policy of the US government. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Early Reviewers geschrieben. I felt this book was well written and an easy and fast read. However, I thought parts of it were forced and were unnecessary. I thought the author tried to add details that were irrelevant and did not add any substance. I also feel he tried to add almost too much to the story lines. I thought the book covered a very interesting topic and I didn't dislike reading it, but I wished he didn't try to force some of the stories along. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

The Founders' Plot is an exciting new thriller that takes you into the sordid and dangerous world of illegal immigration, the shady corridors and backrooms where devious politicians ply their trade, and sheds light on questionable Supreme Court decisions. The newly-elected governor of California pushes through a stringent immigration law that's declared unconstitutional by the United States Supreme Court. But the decorated Vietnam vet ignores the ruling and continues implementing the law, igniting a clash b Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
