The way the story keeps you guessing what is about to come next is the best part. ( ) *3.75 stars* I never thought I would EVER give something of Teresa Mummert's anything less than 4 stars! However, 3.75 is close enough to 4 stars, I am not feeling too bad! I liked this book. However, I didn't love it like I wanted or like I loved the first book in this series! It just wasn't the same. The drama and pettiness in this book just doesn't fit with the tone from the first book. This book didn't stand out like most of Teresa's books do. I kind of wasn't a fan of Cass for a while. Then I wasn't a fan of Tucker's for a while. In the end, I was kind of asking myself what I really thought of either of them. Neither of them were willing to just be themselves. They were being who others wanted them to be instead of just being. For a band book, this book, unfortunately, is average. I wanted above average. I wanted to gush about this book. I wanted my heart to race. I wanted to cry and laugh, just like I did in the first book. Now, the bonds that Cass makes in this book are heartwarming. Coming from the situation she was in before she met Tucker, these friendships are very significant. Eric is by far one person that she can relate to. Their not-so-easy friendship turns into a more brother-sister relationship. This is a relationship that is necessary and welcomed. Of coarse there has to be a female band manager that is more than willing to throw a wrench into things. Her pettiness and selfishness is to be expected in this book. And of coarse, Cass with her self-doubts, tries her best to win her over. We all know how well that will go over! Overall, this is a good book. It doesn't surpass the first, but that rarely happens! I am anticipating the third book, White Trash Love Song. I am curious as to where Teresa will take us next! *3.75 stars* I never thought I would EVER give something of Teresa Mummert's anything less than 4 stars! Where is her place on the bus? Will she cause the band problems? It seemed there was things that Cass didn't know about Tucker or really about what he was up to the time they were apart. Just when things start to smooth out in walks Donna their new manager who it about to stir the pot. Towards the end I felt so bad for Cass she really had no one fall back on and nothing to call her own it seemed like Tucker was more controlling that loving. No hot sex but living on a tour bus isn't the best spot for hot raunchy sex -unless your a groupie. Fabulous Ending! Next book coming is "White Trash Love Song" which is Eric's story -not sure when it's due out though. Quote: "Enjoy Life. No one gets out alive." The romantic and poignant second novel in the stunning trilogy by a New York Times bestselling author about a down-and-out waitress who's swept off her feet by a rock star. Rocker Tucker White saved down-and-out waitress Cass Daniels from everyone in her life who was hurting her--except herself. In the much-anticipated follow-up toWhite Trash Beautiful, Teresa Mummert's New York Times and USA Today bestseller, Tucker and Cass are finally together, but does that mean they get their happy ending? Living on a tour bus with your boyfriend's rock band is nothing like living in a trailer with your drug-addicted mother--except for the drama. After all the pain and grief that marked the beginning of Cass and Tucker's relationship, they're finally building a life together--just the two of them, his three bandmates, some groupies, and thousands of screaming fans. And not everyone is as happy about the couple's reunion as they are. The last thing Cass wants to do is create friction within the band--especially when Damaged is on the brink of achieving the success Tucker has worked so hard for. She's thrilled to finally be with a man who loves and protects her as much as he does. But how can she carve out a place for herself in this new rock star world . . . without being swallowed by the shadow of Tucker's fame? Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
