I really liked this book! Frankly I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I had some issues with several of the last installments in this series but I was totally into this one! Recommending to everyone who likes pnr and paranormal erotic romance. ( )

A vey nice installment in the series. I did feel that there was one spot of asshatery on the part of the hero that he didn't sufficiently apologize for but on the whole I enjoyed this episode. The over arching story line is moving along and I feel like this might be one paranormal series that will actually come to a satisfactory close rather than lingering on forever. I enjoyed both the hero and the heroine and their relationship was believable. ( )

Graham is rough and yells a lot but as we learn in his story it's his fierce protective nature. Graham believes he can keep Misty until he picks a Lupine mate, but her kidnapping and Fae shenannigans quickly changes things. We get a few new players this time around and more understanding about the Fae's plans for shifters

Wild Wolf
3.5 Stars

Graham McNeil, co-leader of the Las Vegas Shiftertown, has his hands full with an unstable pack reluctantly acclimating to a new environment, a submissive teenage nephew and two unruly wolf cubs whose mission in life is to get into trouble. The one bright light in his life is Misty Granger, a human woman, who calms his wolf and stokes his passions. But when a new threat emerges to place both Misty and his pack in danger, Graham will have to take steps the thwart it or lose Misty forever.

Some interesting developments in the ongoing shifter/fae story arc, but Graham and Misty’s romance falls flat.

As the story begins, Graham and Misty have been in a relationship for a few months, but have yet to establish either a physical or emotional intimacy. Consequently, the sudden progression of their romance feels forced as it is unclear what either one sees in the other. Although Misty is sweet and likable, there is nothing in her rather bland personality to explain Graham’s intense attraction to her. Similarly, Graham’s appeal is also debatable as he spends a great deal of time running hot and cold - both accepting the idea of a connection with Misty while at the same time pushing her away with harsh words and a dismissive attitude.

The fae collar conspiracy progresses further in this installment with more details on the fae’s nefarious agenda. The villain is particularly nasty and his ability to inflict physical as well as psychological damage ratchets up the tension and suspense.

Alongside cameo appearances by characters from previous installments (which is always a highlight), there are also some new and intriguing additions to the growing cast, but it is the adorable twin cubs, Kyle and Matt, who steal the show.

All in all, worth reading for the plot developments but the romance is one of the weaker in the series. The next book focuses on a different characters in a new shiftertown. I hope the series does not lose momentum by moving into unknown areas. ( )

~ 5 Wild Wolf Stars ~

Wild Wolf is book six in the Shifters Unbound series by Jennifer Ashley. This book can be read as a stand alone. Ms. Ashley has created an interesting shifter world. We get red-hot love scenes and extremely likable characters, with some interesting mythology that is well thought out.

Graham, sexy alpha wolf, keeps his feelings hidden. He’s a tough, no nonsense alpha. He is alpha of a band of wolves that have been moved down to Las Vegas shifter town. If he was not the alpha he is, his wolves would have chewed him up long ago. They need a firm hand. Misty softens his rough edges just enough.

Misty, a human who is kind, patient and doesn’t let her physically weaker human form stop her from standing up to Graham or whomever. I like her. She is no damsel in distress. I liked how she sees Graham and is able to read him and understand that he is lost in a way that he did not know about until she came into his life.

Fabulous read! The cover is hot. Check out thous flame tattoos on Graham. Ok now for Wild Wolf. I really enjoyed the romantic aspect of this story; Graham and Misty have been dating for 8 months yet have not had sex, which is different then what we usually see in novels that feature mate bonds. Then our two main characters don’t have sex until quite a ways into the story. It worked! They make a great couple. I also liked how Misty saves Graham’s ass a few times. I also got a kick out of seeing old characters from previous books pop up again. These characters are phenomenal. We also get a nice mix of supernaturals and a new supernatural pops up gnomes (ya Gnomes). I had a laugh at this, but really enjoyed Ben. Matt & Kyle the little wolf cubs. I loved the cubs they are just so adorable. Who doesn’t love cubs?

Wild Wolf is a fantastic book whether you’re a long-time Jennifer Ashley fan or a newcomer. Great humor, sexy shifters and outstanding writing.
