I just finished this book as part of the Men of Steel boxset. I am a little bit at a loss with how to review this book. Parts of it were amazing. Other parts, not so much. I found myself confused in some gaps in the storyline and by a serious lack of communication which bothered me immensely. I wanted more details put in regarding some pretty key elements of the story. Some of the characterizations were off the mark for me (regarding Carley) and Jace was OOT at tops. In the same breath, I loved certain aspects of Jace and also Carley.

That being said, I will still be reading on because even though the writing wasn't as cohesive as i would have liked I still want to know more about the other characters. ( )

I really enjoyed the writing style, to me, the writer isn't an author but a storyteller. It was like a friend telling me what happened. Thanks for the girl time M.J. Fields. ( )

Coming to maturity, Jase and Carly's love affair continues to evolve, break, resurrect and finally mature. Life and the happenstance shapes their future. The past must be reconciled, the future has to planned, and the present has to be lived with courage and no regrets. Their love story is very emotional and makes for a great read. ( )

Holy crap I loved loved loved this book!!! I was heart broken for Carly and super pissed off at Jase- I wanted to smack my ereader in hopes he would feel it lol. Lots of crap is going down with Jase & a lot of that crap is good. Now Jase will have to fight to get Carly back. Not much sex in this book but a little. Fabulous ending! Can't wait to read about the rest of the steel brothers.
