Mystery of the Ballerina Ghost is set in a castle in Austria. Grandfather has the best in mind for his granddaughter who is tutored and has private lessons of all kinds. They are happy to have visitors from Colorado, USA, who find a mystery in progress. Events get tense with a possible ghost in the castle, and the visitors pack to leave. However, all works out for the best as the mystery is solved. Horseback riding is part of this story which is perfect for the girls who love travel, adventure, and horses. Quite a fun read!
Pack-n-Go Girls are Lexile rated as high second grade for schools that use AR (Accelerated Reader) and rated O with F&P (Fountas & Pinnell).

Brooke and her mother are headed to a castle in Austria for her mom's job. Eva and her grandfather live in the castle and so does, says Eva, a ballerina ghost. Brooke and Eva have a great time playing and exploring and, finally, finding out just what the ghost wants.

The latter portion of the book is an informational guide about traveling in Austria. It gives general information, German phrases, and, best of all, several blank pages for kids to dream about what they'd pack and where they'd go if they were going to Austria.

I would have loved books like this as a kid. It's a great idea and I hope to see more from the Pack-n-Go Girls. ( )
