I would rate this about a 3.5

This is a diary by a little girl and it's a account of how she handles a zombie outbreak. It tells of her fears and her struggles to get home and find her parents. It's pretty much what you would expect out of a little girls diary. Misspelled words, choppy sentences, sloppy hand writing. Wish it was longer though I would like to know what happens to her, if she finds her parents or not or does she grow up in that world and become a complete bad ass. ( )

This is not good. I like diaries and whatnot, and I do like the idea of seeing a zombie apocalypse from a small child's point of view, but this was not done well.

First thing, I'm okay with short shorts, this is only a few chapters long and thats just fine, but nothing happened. Literally nothing. The author released all three parts of this story in the same year, I'm assuming because he thought he could get some money out of it that way. I would have rather paid 15 dollars for a complete story, then 3 dollars for every instalment.

Second, I hate the hand written garbage on lined paper. I understand there is a certain feel they were going for, but it wasn't done well. I shouldn't have to zoom into each page screen and then struggle to read the poor font choice. You can get the idea across she's a child without making it look like chicken scratch. Also, after reading the entire story and finding out at the end there was a plain text version, just pissed me off. It should always be a plain text version when it's on Kindle.

Next issue, why does a nine year not know what a zombie is? Like come one. The way she talks and writes makes me want to see her as a four year old. A nine year old is old enough to know what is going on, and should know how to find her house. How can I child not know where she lives?

Suggestions: Put all three pieces together to make one half way decent story. Edit the shit out of it. Do it all in plain text. Just stop with the stupid gimmicks. ( )
