I was given an ARC by the author and woah nelly, I want the next one now! I devoured this intro to Jess and Dylan/Brandon/Hottie McMystery Man in no time at all. This is my first story by this author and I'm hooked. I'm really interested to see where the story goes but I'm not sure how great I'll be at waiting for each part (there are 5!) to come out, especially if they all have a cliffhanger ending like this one. (

It's difficult reviewing only 20% of a story. But I have read volume #1 of 5 of REVENGE, and I like what I've read so far. Dylan is a gritty and mysterious up and coming rock star. Jess is a small town girl looking to make a mark as an intern at an indie record label in Los Angeles. Their paths cross on a street corner where Dylan is performing for tips. I am looking forward to seeing where the story takes them as the series progresses. (

Fun read about Jess, farm girl goes to L.A., and Dylan, mysterious music guy. Highly entertaining and the setup to what appears to be a great story developing. Can't wait for the next installment! Recommended (

“Well? Don’t tell me you’re the kind of girl who needs the door opened for her every time.” “Don’t tell me you’re the kind of guy who makes a big deal over stuff like that.”

“You know, Jess, whenever you think you don’t have any options, that means the best choice is right in front of you.” “There’s nothing in front of me but a box of dusty files.”

My 2 cents: I must day, the way the story is progressing I'm not so sure if this is the typical boy-meets-girl-and -they-fall-in-love story. It's refreshing to see the heroine being brave and standing up for herself. I find Dylan/Wolf an a**, with the way he treated Jess towards the latter part of this book. (
