It's easy to become attached to Fisheye and Shrimp - and that makes the book extremely readable. I feel invested in their future and already attached to their characters. I feel angry every time Harshley is the focus, not because I don't want to read about him, he just pours evil and meanness from his every word. I hope that at some point in this series he gets his due.
The only challenge I had was some of the vernacular speech. Although I do often find this to be slightly challenging. I don't believe that the characters origins were mentioned so I don't know what accent I'm meant to be matching the vernacular too.
I really appreciate receiving this book as an ARC from the publisher. I will definitely be waiting with baited breath for the next book - I've got to know what happens next! (
