Creative use of imagination ( ) This book addresses a common fear among children, the fear of the dark, but within that context, it also addresses other fears--goblins, witches, and other spooky characters. I feel that the book does a good job of looking at a child's fear and giving them ways of getting over that fear. It not only applies to the fear of the dark, but to other fears as well. The book demonstrates that fears can be overcome; sometimes all it takes is a little imagination. Small Blue and the Deep Dark Night is a very cute tale about spinning the spooky into fun and the what-ifs that lurk in the dark. Big Brown (a bear) takes care of Small Blue (a bunny) and helps him to realize that those ghastly things he is imagining are playful creatures that just want to say hello. I think this book is very cute and would be great for young ones that are afraid of being in the dark. It is a good representation of thinking positive as well. Small Blue is adorable and comes to accept that the deep dark night isn't a very scary place after all. The illustrations are beautiful and engaging with bright colors and cute characters in playful situations. Even the dark pages are interesting and fun. I think this would be a wonderful bedtime story. Zeige 5 von 5 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
