The moving pictures are so realistic and make you feel like you have a small aquarium in your hands. We often don't read the text, but just take the time to look at the images. Highly recommended for any ocean lover. ( ) When I say that I had 5th graders dying to look at this book, I mean it. We spent a few days exploring nonfiction books and the moving pictures in this one gained everyone's affection. It's been said that engaging pictures and familiar concepts are key to getting students to read nonficiton, and this book proves that point. Each page focuses on a new ocean animal, mammal or non-mammal, and provides information about the animal with a moving picture. First, I loved the moving pictures, by moving the page ever so lightly the pictures would start to move and it would look like the sea creatures were swimming directly next to you. Each page related to one sea creature, along with the moving pictures there would be informational facts such as; size, habitat, range, diet, life span, and threats. The information provided wasn’t too in-depth so it would be perfect for any reader. The central message of the book was to inform the reader all about deep sea creatures. I believe Dan Kainen did a great job of doing that Zeige 5 von 5 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
