Eden, Noon is the second thrilling instalment in The Chronicles of Paradise trilogy. The first book in the trilogy, Eden Dawn, had me captivated and I’m happy to say the second instalment didn’t let me down.
While the first half is definitely Young Adult material, full of teen angst and a love triangle. The second half is all adrenaline pumping suspense and adventure. I can see Ristan full of self doubt suffering from a massive dose of PTSD. Like men in war, peace loving men that must kill so that others may live. The end result is despair instead of joy. The despair of winning where being the victor holds no joy.
The teaser at the end of Eden Dawn had me guessing how Eden Noon would pan out but with Archer Swift you can never be sure of what will happen next and as the story progressed I was saying “but what about the end of the last book?” Swift gives a brief explanation at the end of this book that will have you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next instalment. All is not as it seems.
Suitable for YA readers while also being captivating enough for adults.
When I read I want to be entertained, taken to another place, another world and Eden, Noon does exactly that. ( )
