I've read 'Come and Tell Me Some Lies' by the same author in the past, and having read 'A Perfect Life', I have had the same outcome. I find the writing itself very descriptive, intuitive and full of feeling, and I really like it. However, the stories themselves seem that they have no beginning, and definitely no end. The first page throws you into the middle of the story, and the last page leaves you wondering where the conclusion to the story is. Due to the lack of definition and meaning to the story, I find I am disppointed at the end of reading Barker's books. I don't think I would personally opt to read another Raffaela Barker book, however others may enjoy this style of story writing and certainly the writing itself is perhaps worth a look.
