I liked that the heroine of the story wanted to open a facility to breed and train military war dogs, but besides that, this book just didn't work for me. I don't mind some good sex scenes in a book, but the ones here did nothing for me. It would have been nice to have some feelings or emotions involved, considering that Amy and Mark are best friends who are finding themselves becoming much more as they are falling for each other, but every sex scene came across as nothing more than a quickie hookup. One encounter came at such an inopportune time during the story that it just seemed ridiculous and it completely took me out of the story. The physical connection was all I felt, and not the emotional one. I never really felt their love, they just said the words to each other. Amy's relationship rules bugged me too, since she proceeded to break some of them right off the bat. I did like Jango (the dog). ( )
