So I had gotten a bunch of books by this author after reading and loving Stop Snoring Bernard!, but I unfortunately haven’t liked these others as much as that one. I feel like the others haven’t had as strong of a storyline and weren’t as interactive with the reader as that one. This was fine, I liked the illustrations, but the other elements aren’t as strong.

Momo the flying squirrel comes to visit his cousins but isn’t what they expect. He doesn’t like to do any of the stuff they do and they get bummed about it. But then they realize that they can compromise by combining some of the things they like before their cousin leaves. ( )

A family of squirrels welcome their cousin Momo, a flying squirrel - but Momo doesn't quite fit their expectations (and he won't do a flying demonstration). When they express their disappointment, they hurt Momo's feelings, but they apologize and find a way to play together. When it's time for him to go, Momo "did it in his own way" (flying!), and the cousins look forward to visiting him next time. A fun story including a gentle reminder to appreciate difference. ( )

Momo, an eccentric flying squirrel who distinctively does things his own way, shows his cousins that trying new things can be lots of fun. Lively, fun story with great illustrations. ( )
