This wonderful book tells the story of a man and his mother, who travel to their ancestral country with the hope of learning about their long-lost relatives and the lives they led. Once there, they find a guide/ translator, who helps them not only with the language, but gets them where they need to go. the book begins with some insight into the author's young life with his immediate family in New York. As one who is interested in genealogy and the past, I enjoyed this book immensely and highly recommend it for fascinating reading. ( )
