This work really roped me in based on the very first paragraph when Chase's situation was discussed. I was seeking a tie in between the first paragraph and the rest of the story, which I did not get. It did read as a long prequel with a lingering effect with that paragraph still in the fray. However, if it is taken out, then Chance Encounters reads as a short story, which is what the copy I have is advertised as.

I applaud the amount of detail in the characters and their development, especially Rayqelle and Iesha. I'm also a fan of how well paced this work is as well as the action. The author was also very descriptive in your imagery of the erotic scenes, but the scene that captured my attention the most was Rayqelle's experience as she was trying to go to the bathroom. I felt like I was there, feeling the disgust and aggravation.

One thing I would like to point out is some fine tuning. I'm not speaking of the dialect but more of some misspellings and missing and improper punctuation that didn't get caught in the final submission. In addition, there was a paragraph in Chapter One that got repeated which escaped detection. I can even see it in the Kindle preview of this. It's important to utilize extra eyes in the final cut. The delivery and language in this is a winner but a final copy with lots of flaws may put off potential and current readers if not careful.
