This poetry book is a beautiful book that discusses the joys of summertime within verse. He uses a stylistic approach on many of the pages where he employees the use of visual lines to emphasis movement within the rhythm of the poems, such as in the poem "Summersaults", "The Swing", and the dancing way the words are displayed upon the page of the poem about "Fireflies". These poems could be used to teach meter, rhyme, onomatopoeia, assonance, alliteration, and consonance. Beautifully stylized in words and illustrations ( )

Douglas is trying to show how amazing summer is and that it is so good to be outside and being active and not staying inside your house.
