A well written story with a predictable ending. I did enjoy the love/hate relationship between Sonny and Levi. The characters were well developed and believable. This was an enjoyable, easy read. ( )

This is one of those stories that seems to have nothing to do with the title. But I don't care.

Levi's truly a product of his damage and stresses, and Sonny, because we don't see his point of view, is a mystery force of nature Levi cannot comprehend. And yet, when Sonny doesn't just lay things out, it feels just as genuine as when Levi won't. You can tell there are Reasons. That's good writing, good characterization.

My favorite? The end is perfectly HFN. I loved it. ( )

Delusione totale.... ( )

Told entirely from Levi's pov, this novella packs a real punch. The mechanics behind the porn industry isn't tinted with rose coloured glasses, nor is the detachment with which Levi approaches his jobs, or the painfully toxic relationship with his alcoholic mother. Of course, this is Garrett Leigh, so I never thought it would be.
The sex scenes are integral to the development of the relationship so this isn't a read for those of you who skim that stuff. They are gritty and raw, but skimming will mean missing the subtle shifting of Levi and Sonny's relationship.
A relationship that moves from hate to curiosity to attraction.
I'd have liked a touch more before the end which feels more of a HFN than a HEA. Because these two have a lot to cope with despite their new understanding. Hopefully we'll see more of them in the next book. ( )
